Community Volunteers in Medicine

“Your support helps us provide care to the most vulnerable among us who have no other place to turn for desperately needed medical and dental care.”

Community Volunteers in Medicine continues to serve a record number of patients in both its medical and dental programs, serving as a critical safety net for those living in poverty in Chester County. Many of its patients work two jobs or more in service industries, some are the newly unemployed who find themselves asking for assistance for the first time in their lives, and they include young children who have never been seen by a dentist. None have health insurance and many are chronically ill.

Health care, hope, and healing are more than just words at CVIM. Its clinical and support volunteers make sure that patients have access to individualized health care services. Chronic disease management, specialized women's services, children's dental, and free prescription medications are just a few of the many prevention and wellness services available.
