About the Scholarship

The James G. Jones, MD, Student Scholarship supports one medical student to attend the annual Family Medicine Congressional Conference (FMCC), held in Washington, DC. This scholarship was created as a way for Dr. Jones to demonstrate his continuing commitment to the education of medical students.

The 2016 FMCC is scheduled for April 18-19, 2016. Additional conference information is available through the AAFP.

2016 Scholarship Recipient

[James G. Jones Scholar Sabrina Martinez]

We are pleased to announce that Sabrina M. Martinez, a fourth-year medical student at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine & Public Health, was selected to receive the 2016 James G. Jones, MD, Student Scholarship to attend the Family Medicine Congressional Conference in Washington, DC, on April 18-19, 2016.

The Family Medicine Congressional Conference is sponsored jointly by the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Council of Academic Family Medicine. Ms. Martinez will join other Family Medicine advocates from across the country to learn more about issues at the federal level, as well as how she can advocate for Family Medicine's legislative priorities.
