Charity Navigator Rating

The AAFP Foundation is proud to announce it was once again awarded a four-star rating by Charity Navigator, the leading charity evaluator in America. Charity Navigator is an online resource devoted to evaluating the financial health of over 5,000 charities nationwide.

For each organization it evaluates, Charity Navigator gives a rating of one to four stars for sound fiscal management. The Foundation received an overall score of 63.68, giving it the highest rating of four stars. According to Charity Navigator, only about one quarter of the organizations it analyzes receives a four-star ranking. In achieving four stars, the Foundation "...executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way and outperforms most other charities in America."

"The AAFP Foundation is again thrilled to be recognized by Charity Navigator as a four-star charity. This is a distinction we take very seriously as it indicates to our donors that the AAFP Foundation is committed to using their gifts as efficiently and effectively as possible," said Craig Doane, Executive Director, AAFP Foundation.

The Foundation works very hard to be fiscally responsible and good stewards of each gift received, putting the highest possible percentage of donations toward the work. The AAFP Foundation supports humanitarian, educational and scientific programs that help students, residents, family physicians and the communities they serve.
