Anne Berry
Corporate Trustee
Anne Berry joined AstraZeneca in 2007 as Director of Federal Alliances after more than four years as Senior Director of Alliance Development at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA). Her background in health care has also included working in government affairs with both physician and nursing associations. As PAC and grassroots manager at both the College of American Pathologists and the American Nurses Association, she specialized in getting people involved in the political process. In addition, Anne is currently serving as a Corporate Trustee on the American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
Her current primary responsibility is building alliances with physician, provider, patient and community groups who share AstraZeneca’s goal of improving patient health. She also provides insights into the external legislative environment facing AZ’s principal customers. By developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with key stakeholder groups, she helps to ensure that patients achieve the best possible health outcomes by addressing the legislative and regulatory proposals that create obstacles to patients receiving optimal care.
A former swimmer at the University of Kentucky, Anne graduated with a BA in history and French and has an MA in American Studies from the George Washington University in Washington, DC. A resident of Alexandria, Virginia, she is active with the Kentucky Society of Washington and other charitable, civic and business organizations.
