Dr. Dennis Chagnon

Denis Chagnon, MD, FAAFP, has been working as a full-time family physician in a private group practice in Latham, New York, since 1975. A graduate of Georgetown University (1968) and Georgetown School of Medicine (1972), he completed his Residency in Family Practice at St. Joseph Hospital in Syracuse, New York (1972-75).

He is currently serving a term on the American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation’s Board of Trustees. He is a former Delegate to the American Academy of Family Physicians from New York State and is on the Board of St. Gregory's School in Loudonville, New York, and the Dana Farber Marathon Challenge in Boston, Massachusetts.

In addition, he is a past president of the New York State Academy of Family Physicians and past president of the Medical-Dental Staff, Albany Memorial Hospital, in Albany, New York.

Denis’ interests include running, golf and skiing. He and his wife, Brita, live in Niskayuna, New York. They have two sons.
