Grant Generating Project (GGP)

The AAFP Foundation joins the North American Primary Care Research Group (NAPCRG) and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM) in funding the GGP which seeks to equip Family Medicine researchers -- both physicians and individuals with doctoral training -- with the skills needed to successfully develop and submit grants for research funding.

The skills needed to become a competitive researcher include:

  • How to develop a research question
  • How to develop a testable hypothesis
  • How to move from an initial idea, to a concept paper, to a fully competitive proposal
  • How to find funding

The GGP is currently accepting applications for the program that begins in September 2009. For more information about the program and application materials, visit the GGP Web site.
