Dannon supports AAFP Foundation

The Dannon Company will be supporting the AAFP Foundation with a Signature Wall in their exhibit booth during the 2010 Scientific Assembly. For each signature and message, Dannon will donate proceeds to the AAFP Foundation, which benefits the Foundation's humanitarian, education and scientific initiatives in the United States and around the world.

Welch Allyn donates essential medical equipment for PWH airlift

For the past nine years, Welch Allyn has been a consistent supporter of the Physicians With Heart (PWH) airlift. During the initial Tajikistan assessment conducted in January, the PWH team discovered from the local health officials that one of the major challenges for the family medicine physicians in-country was the shortage of essential diagnostic equipment. Welch Allyn rose to the challenge and has provided the PWH team with otoscopes, stethoscopes, ophthalmoscopes, sphygmomanometers and blood pressure cuffs for adults and children. The PWH Delegation of Family Medicine physicians will use this equipment for training purposes and will also donate this equipment to hospitals and clinics in rural settings throughout Tajikistan. Novo Nordisk selects AAFP Foundation as Charity of Choice for 3rd Year in a Row

Help support the AAFP Foundation and Physicians With Heart by visiting the Novo Nordisk booth at the annual Scientific Assembly in Denver, September 30 - October 2.

Please visit the Novo Nordisk exhibit booth at the AAFP Scientific Assembly to speak with a Novo Nordisk representative and play MedIQ!

MedIQ! is a fun, fast-paced quiz game where booth visitors have 60 seconds to “test their clinical dexterity.” For each documented interaction, Novo Nordisk will make a donation on that visitor’s behalf to the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) Foundation’s Physicians With Heart project.

Dow Live Earth Run for Water - April 18, 2010

Dow, a Foundation corporate partner, has just announced The Dow Live Earth Run for Water, the largest global water initiative in history focused on the actions individuals can take to effectively address the water crisis.

On April 18, 2010, Live Earth and Dow will be creating events and activities over the course of 24 hours in nearly 100 cities around the world. The Dow Live Earth Run for Water will consist of 6 km run/walks symbolic of the average distance many women and children walk every day to get water, live concerts and water education activities.
