Resident and Student Initiatives Fund for National Conference Scholarships
In 2012, the AAFP Foundation will provide 169 scholarships for residents and medical students to attend National Conference. This is due to your generous donations.
National Conference Scholarships provide residents and medical students the opportunity to explore Family Medicine through clinical sessions, procedural workshops and interaction with family physicians from across the country. Many scholarship recipients solidify their commitment to the specialty and develop their leadership skills through participation in the National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students. In fact, nearly 75% of the 3rd and 4th year medical students attending on scholarships commit to Family Medicine and become AAFP members. When you provide support through donations to National Conference Scholarships, you can feel confident that you are positively affecting the future of Family Medicine.
