Cynthia Weber (pictured with her husband, James Weber, MD), served as the Executive Vice President of AFMRD from 2001 to 2006. In addition to leading AFMRD, she was Manager of Graduate Medical Education for the AAFP and Assistant Director of the Residency Assistance Program (RAP). She led AFMRD through many important initiatives, including joint sponsorship of the Annals of Family Medicine and the Future of Family Medicine (FFM) project. She also guided the name change from AFPRD to AFMRD. Although Cynthia passed away on October 7, 2006, her legacy of outstanding service to both the AFMRD and Family Medicine continues.
