American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP)
The American Academy of Family Physicians is the national association of family doctors. The Academy was founded in 1947 to promote and maintain high quality standards for family doctors who are providing continuing comprehensive health care to the public.
American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation (AAFP/F)
The American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation serves as the philanthropic arm of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). Its primary goal is to enhance health care delivered to the American people by developing and providing philanthropic resources for the promotion and support of Family Medicine.
American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM)
The American Board of Family Medicine is a separate and autonomous body which acts as the certifying agency for the specialty of family medicine in addition to working with various groups to contribute to the education process of family physicians.
Association of Departments of Family Medicine (ADFM)
The Association of Departments of Family Medicine (ADFM) was formed to promote the philosophy and interests of Family Medicine in U.S. medical schools via the efficient and effective administration and operation of academic departments, divisions, and sections of Family Medicine, as well as supporting research and scholarship in Family Medicine.
Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors (AFMRD)
The Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors is dedicated to promoting excellence in Family Medicine graduate education in order to meet the health care needs of the American public.
National Association of Primary Care Research Group (NAPCRG)
Founded in 1972, the North American Primary Care Research Group is a multidisciplinary organization for primary care researchers in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and throughout the world. Its mission is to develop, disseminate and promote new knowledge regarding primary care.
