Patient Care
The patient care program component allows licensed physicians and residents (under physician supervision) to attend to patients at community clinics in Haiti.
- Small groups or individuals sign up through the AAFP Foundation for one-week trips to provide patient care for people in Haiti. Family Medicine Cares International seeks to provide at least one patient care team (two to three physician volunteers) each week of the year.
- All volunteers are escorted by HHI in-country staff and housed at HHI volunteer centers.
