Medical research can mean the different between health and illness, between happiness and despair. While aptitude may drive us to science, compassion drives us to Family Medicine. Continued opportunities for scientific investigation are a critical part of remaining relevant and curious, and improving patient outcomes.

Joint Grant Awards Program -- This program provides $50,000 per project to support research that poses questions of high relevance to Family Medicine.
Practice Based Research Network (PBRN) Stimulation Grants -- This program provides $7,500 per project to support research conducted by family physicians affiliated or associated with a PBRN in Family Medicine.
Research Stimulation Grants -- This program provides $7,500 per project to support research that poses questions of high relevance to family physicians and their patients.
Resident Research Grants -- Five grants of up to $2,000 each are now available for short-term projects that can be conducted and reported within a six month time period.
Grant Generating Project (GGP) -- A fellowship without walls, the GGP equips Family Medicine researchers with the critical skills needed to successfully develop and submit competitive research grant proposals that result in the award of external research funding.
Research Grant Award Announcements -- Webpages lists 2012 recipients of Resident Research Grants, Research Stimulation Grants and Joint Grant Award Program (JGAP) grants.
