The AAFP Foundation joins the North American Primary Care Research Group (NAPCRG) and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM) in funding the GGP which seeks to equip Family Medicine researchers– both physicians and individuals with doctoral training– with the skills needed to successfully develop and submit grants for research funding.
The skills needed to become a competitive researcher include:
Grant Generating Project (GGP)
- Ability to develop a research question
- Ability to develop a testable hypothesis
- Ability to move from an initial idea, to a concept paper, to a fully competitive proposal
- Ability to find funding
