American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation (AAFP Foundation): The American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation serves as the philanthropic arm of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). Its primary goal is to enhance health care delivered to the American people by developing and providing philanthropic resources for the promotion and support of Family Medicine.
American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM)(www.theabfm.org): The American Board of Family Medicine is a separate and autonomous body which acts as the certifying agency for the specialty of Family Medicine in addition to working with various groups to contribute to the education process of family physicians.
American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP)(www.acofp.org): Headquartered in Arlington Heights, Illinois, ACOFP is the professional medical association that represents more than 20,000 practicing osteopathic family phsicians, residents, and students throughout the United States. The mission of the ACOFP is to promote excellence in ostephathic Family Medicine through quality education, visionary leadership, and responsible advocacy.
Association of Departments of Family Medicine (ADFM)(www.adfm.org): The Association of Departments of Family Medicine (ADFM) was formed to promote the philosophy and interests of Family Medicine in U.S. medical schools via the efficient and effective administration and operation of academic departments, divisions, and sections of Family Medicine, as well as supporting research and scholarship in Family Medicine.
Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors (AFMRD)(www.afmrd.org): The Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors is dedicated to promoting excellence in Family Medicine graduate education in order to meet the health care needs of the American public.
