The FMPC Grant Awards Program supports programs of the AAFP's Constituent Chapters and Chapter Foundations. Additional grant opportunities may be made available for important health initiatives with the support of designated funding. The AAFP Foundation is pleased to announce a new chapter grant opportunity available through the FMPC and designed to assist family physicians in taking action to increase immunization rates of the four CDC-recommended teen vaccinations in their practices.

Family Medicine Cares USA

Designed to help free clinics care for the uninsured in the United States, this program establishes new free clinics and provides grants to existing clinics for the purchase of equipment. In addition, Family Medicine Cares USA gives AAFP members, residents, and students the opportunity to volunteer their time and talent.

Student Externship Matching Grants

The student externship matching grants stimulate interest among medical students to select a career, and/or pursue research opportunities in Family Medicine.

Disaster Assistance Program

This program provides support to family physicians who have undergone uninsured losses to their medical practices and/or who need help to get their practices up and running again in a time of crisis.

Research Stimulation Grants

Research Stimulation Grants provide up to $7,500 per project to support research that poses questions of high relevance to family physicians and their patients. This program also supports research conducted by family physicians affiliated or associated with Practice Based Research Networks (PBRN) in Family Medicine.
