Physician assistance program
Through this program, grants are awarded to family physicians who have undergone uninsured losses to their medical practices and/or who need help to get their practices up and running again in a time of crisis related to a natural disaster (e.g. hurricane, earthquake, tornado, flooding).
Grants are awarded to assist in the repair and rebuilding process for family physicians that have suffered a financial loss to their medicial practice. AAFP members can also donate funds to help their colleagues who have been impacted by a disaster through this program.
Funding details and application
Grant amounts range up to $2,000 and will be reviewed and approved by the AAFP Foundation Board of Trustees. Grant applications are received throughout the year. If you need assistance, please complete the Physician Assistance Application (2 page PDF) and submit it via email to Annette Routon.
