The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) Foundation is pleased to announce that through a generous donation from The Humana Foundation to support COVID-19 emergency relief efforts, the Family Medicine Cares USA program is making $25,000 grants available to qualifying free health clinics that serve patients in the most vulnerable and high-need communities across the county.
During this unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, healthcare providers in the U.S. are struggling to provide the care that is needed. These sizable grants of $25,000 will be able to alleviate some of the financial burden free health clinics are experiencing, so they can continue to support their patients and communities.
The application period opens August 1 and the funding can be used for durable, non-durable, or operational expenses. The clinics can determine what is most beneficial to them.
